Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act and the federal No Surprises Act, healthcare providers are legally required to provide individuals who are not enrolled in an insurance plan, who are not using insurance, or who are self-paying an estimate of the expected charges for medical and dental items and services.

Key Protections You Receive:

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare service or item, including periodontal surgeries, dental implants, bone grafting, and examinations.
You can request a Good Faith Estimate from our office in writing at least 1 business day before your scheduled medical or dental service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right under federal law to dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a paper copy or photograph of your Good Faith Estimate for your permanent records.
